Mary Rose

Mary Rose, an accomplished teacher and staff developer, is the author of Scholastic’s best-selling 10 Easy Writing Lessons That Get Kids Ready for Writing Assessments, Writing Prompts for Success on the Tests, and Week-by-Week Homework books for improving reading comprehension and fluency. Her six-book series, Week-by-Week Homework: Reading Comprehension, contains lessons designed to target reading standards, guidelines for teaching, and simple explanations to support parents.

Mary has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Masters degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership.  She taught grades K–1 for 20 years and grade 4 for 18 years before serving as an educational consultant.
